Yealink W70 Cordless Phone Pairing using Easy Pair

For the Yealink W70 family of cordless phones we now support Easy Pairing. The following prerequisites apply:

  • Firmware version 146.85.0.81 or higher
  • IPUI numbers assigned in the device config 

Configuration

Navigate to your location and click the green/red icon to pop up the devices window. Then click the green COG icon next to the base station you wish to configure:

Change the number to the handset slot you wish to assign the phone and put the IPUI number where the X's are. The handset IPUI is printed inside the back cover (remove the battery), or you can get it by navigating to Status-->Handset on the cordless phone's menu by pressing the OK button.

 

Add the following lines to the Custom Config section and then press the green Update Config button.

handset.1.ipui=XXXXXXXXX

handset.2.ipui=XXXXXXXXX

handset.3.ipui=XXXXXXXXX

 

Easy Pairing

If the handset is currently paired to your base, changing the handset number in the config will instantly move the handset once you click the green Update Config button. 

For a new handset, it will say "not registered" on the screen. Just press the left soft key labeled "REG" and the handset will pair itself.
