Making Calls
Make calls using Microsoft Teams by clicking the "Calls" Icon on the sidebar. You'll be redirected to the Calls tab, and there you'll see the dial pad. Enter the phone number you want to call and press the call button.
Work Number
Your work number is displayed at the bottom of the call button.
View Call History
To view your call history, select "All." For missed calls, choose "Missed." To review incoming calls, click "Incoming."
Speed Dial
To add a speed dial contact you frequently call, click on the button on the speed dial column or click the same-looking icon in the upper-right corner.
View Your Contacts
Click "View Contacts" in the upper right corner to access your contacts. This tab lets you view and add contacts and designate your "Favorites" for frequently called numbers.
Setting Do Not Disturb to Send Calls Directly to Voicemail
To send calls directly to voicemail, please set your Microsoft Teams status to Do Not Disturb.
Setting Up and Managing Your Voicemail
To access your voicemail system, open the dial pad on your Microsoft Teams call tab and dial *98. This will connect you to an auto-attendant. Once connected, you'll receive voice prompts guiding you through various options. These include listening to new voice messages, reviewing saved messages, recording or updating your voicemail greeting, and changing your voicemail settings. Simply follow these prompts to manage your voicemail as needed.
Transferring Call (Blind and Attended)
To transfer calls, click the transfer icon, which will prompt a drop-down menu with two options: "Transfer" and "Consult then transfer." Select "Transfer" to forward the call directly to another person. If you prefer to speak with the recipient before completing the transfer, choose "Consult then transfer." This option allows you to brief them before handing off the call.
Just input the number that you want to transfer the call to or search your contacts. Then, click the "Transfer" button.
Putting Calls on Hold and Retrieving
To place the person you're currently speaking with on hold, click the "Hold" icon. When you're ready to resume the conversation, press the "Resume" button to retrieve the call.
