The TGP600 base unit has a single RJ45 jack, recommended use is PoE.
The device includes an optional AC adapter if POE is not available.
The TGP600 would typically be located in the network closet, plugged directly into a switch using PoE. Please make sure it is not enclosed in a metal rack as that will limit signal strength.
For optimal signal strength and range, consider using a cabled location centrally in your site (if cabling is available), this will help ensure that signal isn't lost when users walk through the location. Watch for line-of-site issues that will affect the 2.4ghz signal such as walk-in freezers, brick/stone walls or chimneys, industrial steel appliances.
- Handsets can be placed anywhere within the signal range. The charging cradles require power only. TPA60, TPA65 and UDT131 are handsets. TPA65 is a DECT cordless desktop phone. It requires power only.
- Range extender KX-A206 can be placed at locations to extend the range of all devices. They require power only.
Pairing a new device requires pressing and holding the button on the right-hand side of the base station. Please clearly document the location of the base station for future handset pairing/replacements.
