Send & Receive eFAX
Now that you've set up a faxbox tied to a user with their proper credentials you can send and receive faxes electronically through the email address provided.
Note: You can only send faxes as a .pdf. Word docs, mail body text, and other documents will not be able to be converted from eFax to print off of traditional fax machines.
Send an eFax
Login to the email address attached to the faxbox and enter the following information.
- To: {Recipient Fax Number}@svefax.com
- CC: None
- Subject: None
- Email Body: None
- Attachment: The PDF you want to send that the eFax server will convert to a standard fax
Note: If you enter information into the CC, Subject, or eMail Body fields the eFax server will not convert them into fax information, so your recipient will not receive it.
Receive an eFax
When someone sends you a fax they would send directly to your fax number just like a traditional fax machine. The only difference here is that instead of printing off of a fax machine, the eFax server will receive the fax information, then convert it into a .pdf and send it directly to your email address where you can view, save, and print the fax.
Note: The information from the sender's fax that gets converted into a .pdf and sent via email is a different security level than direct fax machine to fax machine, therefore there may be different restrictions for its use based on your industry.
